Dear UIC community,
I hope everything is fine for you and your family, and you are having a great and safe summer time. To resume more normal activities in the fall, we keep the on-campus arrival protocols following all campus rules for masking and distancing with the goal of creating a safer return to campus for the entire community, and reducing the risk of COVID-19.
Starting August 23th, UIC keeps the same format of the previous semester and students will have available face-to-face classes fully taught on campus; synchronized online classes which are taught by online live sections at set days and times; asynchronized online classes that are fully taught online (no meetings are required); and hybrid classes, wherein students will attend blended classes between in-person on campus and by online live sections at the scheduled time.
On the home page of each course appears the modality of the classes and the schedules.

- ESL fall classes start in September 7th
- ESL withdrawal deadline, September 16th
- Labor Day holiday, September 6th
- Veteran’s Day holiday, November 11th
- Thanksgiving break from November 20th to 28th
- Fall classes end in December 10th
