ECO 2023 - Microeconomics

Course Credits:  3 Credits / 90 hours 

Course Description: 

This course comes away with a basic understanding of how market economies function, an appreciation for the things they do well, and a sense of things they do poorly.  Students begin to learn the art and science of economic thinking and begin to look at some policy and even personal decisions in a different way.

Learning Objectives: 

By the end of the course the student should be able to:

  • Understand different economic systems.

  • Know how products exchange in the market.

  • Develop familiarity with the basic terminology and elementary ideas of Economics.

  • Acquire knowledge of contemporary economic problems and to appreciate the efforts being made to solve these problems.

  • Develop an understanding of the Nation’s physical and human resources and how to avoid their misuse.

  • Understand the various economic processes that help in improving our standard of living.
